My father just purchased the pc and it arrived right now. I purchased the A920 printer in 2004 with my Dell laptop. I tried to print with the printer but maintain finding a message saying “no communication between the computer and printer.” I named the Dell tech help individuals and 1 of them told me that any printer produced before 2005 will not work with Windows Vista. Is this correct? It tends to make no sense to me simply because I’ve employed old HP deskjet printers with newer computers for many years and never had a dilemma. Please assist!

I bought my new laptop (Vista) and was very pleased with it until finally I attempted installing my old computer software on it. Some of my applications basically will not operate with Vista, some Symantic computer software, like PCAnywhere, and one CD ripper I have known as Poweramp will install, but it does not function any longer.

I know this kid at function that had to acquire a Dell business machine just so it would have XP on it as an alternative of Vista because he is a large WOW player and that will not function correctly on Vista.

So, it is most likely true the older printers will not function on this new operating method.

Isn’t Microsoft amazing?
